Chicken Curry Recipe, Chicken Curry Home Style Recipe

Chicken curry recipe is simple home style recipe.It is aromatic and blend of home available spices.It is easy and yummy recipe and can be served with hot steam rice, bread or chapati.

Ingredient :
  • 1 kg chicken (clean wash and add salt, turmeric powder and squeeze half lemon juice and keep in side)  
  • 3 nos onions chopped 
  • 2 nos tomatoes chopped
  • 2 tsp red chilly powder
  • 1 tsp coriander powder 
  • 1 tsp garam masala powder
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  • 3 tbsp curd (whisk it to smooth)
  • 5 tbsp oil
  • salt to taste
  • 6 nos curry leaves
To make paste:
  • 2 green chilies
  • 8 flakes garlic's
  • 1`` ginger
  • 4 strings coriander leaves
  • 2 strings of mint leaves 
  • 4 nos black pepper
  • 4 nos cloves
  • 2 nos cinnamon stick
  • 2 black cardamon
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
Method:
  1. In a pan add oil, let it heat for five minutes, add curry leaves now add onion and add half teaspoon salt (this helps the onion to cook fast) saute the onion till golden brown.
  2. Now add tomatoes cook till oil leaves the side.
  3. Add the paste and fry till all mixed.
  4. Add red chilly powder,  coriander powder, turmeric powder, garam masala powder, curd, 2 tbsp water and salt all mix nicely till oil leaves the sides now add chicken and give a nice stir and cover and cook for five minutes.
  5. After five minutes give a stir to chicken and add 1 big glass of water or as required for gravy.
  6. Now stir and then cover cook and gradually keep stiring till chicken is cooked.

Notes:
  1. Marinate the chicken and keep in side and then do rest of the cooking.
  2. Remember salt is added in marination, also added to onion for quick cooking, so at last after adding powder masala add very little salt.
  3. Beat or whisk the curd nicely and make the flame slow while adding the curd or the curd will curdle.
Tip of the day:
  • Chop vegetables only when you are ready to use.Do not cut them in advance, it would spoil their food value.
