Puri Bhaji Recipe,Easy Way To Make Puri Bhaji

Puri bhaji is Indian recipe.It is a dish you find in any part of India or Indian house. Puree is a flat rounds made from wheat flour or combination of refine flour (maida) and wheat flour taken in equal quantity and fried, bhaji made from potato (aloo).Puri bhaji is served on railway platforms and also in train all over India.Puri bhaji can be served as breakfast, snacks or main course.If we serve as main course we can condiment along with pickle,curd,salad and halva (sweet dish).

Serves:3-4

Ingredients:

To make Puri:

  • 2 cups wheat flour
  • pinch soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup water (or as required)
Method:

1.In a bowl add wheat flour,salt,soda and gradually add water little water and knead.After kneading keep the dough to rest for ten minutes.
2.Roll to big chapati and with the small glass (or small steel vati/bowl) shape it round or take small lemon size ball and roll and deep fry it after frying remove on tissue paper (excess oil gets absorbed).

Ingredients: 

To make Aloo Bhaji (Potato) :
4 big potatoes (boiled and cubed)
1 tbsp oil
1 tsp cumin seed (jeera)
1 tsp mustard seed (rai)
3 nos chop green chilies
7 nos curry leaves
pinch asafoetida
1/4 tsp turmeric pd
1/2 tbsp lemon juice
salt to taste

Method:
1.In a pan add oil when hot add mustard seed, when crackles add cumin seeds,curry leaves,green chillies chop,all mix nicely add asafoetida,turmeric pd immediately add cubed potato stir well.
2.Add salt and lemon juice.Cover and take one steam for five minutes then remove the lid and smash it little and when leaves the side off the gas and serve with puree.
