Serves:3-4
Ingredient:
- 1 cup green moong dal (soaked overnight)
- 1 onion chopped fine
- 3 tomatoes chopped fine
- 2 potatoes cubed
- 2 tsp red chilly pd
- 1 tsp garam masala pd
- 1 tsp turmeric pd
- pinch asafoetida
- salt to taste
- 2 tbsp oil
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 tsp cumin seed
- 6 nos curry leaves
- 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
Method:
1.In a cooker add oil and butter,then add cumin seed let it splutter,now add asafoetida and curry leaves.
2.Add to it chopped onion saute till pink and add to it ginger-garlic paste.
3.Now add chopped tomatoes fry till leaves the oil.
4.Now add potatoes stir fry it.
5.Add red chilly pd,turmeric pd, garam masala pd and salt to taste.
6.All nicely mixed add one cup water.
7.Take three whistles and off the gas.
8.Let the cooker become cold then open and serve.
Notes:
1.If cooker whistle take time then take three whistles and if cooker whistles are fast then take four or five whistles.
2.We can sprout moong for this recipe again healthy recipe.
3.If cooker is not there we can use pan but soak the green moong overnight and when everything added cover and cook for 15-20 minutes and stir in middle until potatoes are cooked.
