Upma Recipe, How To Make Rava Upma Recipe
Upma recipe is a popular breakfast dish in India.It is nutritious, tasty and very easy to make at home.It is a blend of ghee, spices, veggies and roasted rava (suji or semolina) adding water.We can avoid veggie and continue the same method.There are other recipes like sooji (rava) halwa, rava sheera follow my blog to read these recipe.We can have this in morning breakfast or as evening snacks along with a hot cup of tea. We can also pack as tiffin in school box.It is a healthy version for kids of all age groups. Try this yummy healthy upma recipe and make your loved one happy and healthy.

Serves:3-4
Ingredient:
- 1 cup rava (semolina or suji)
- 2 cup hot water
- 1 tsp mustard seed (rai)
- 1 tsp urad dal
- 1 tsp chana dal
- 6 nos curry leaves
- 1 large onion
- 1 large tomatoes
- 2 tbsp green peas
- 2 green chilies chop
- 1/2 tsp turmeric pd
- 2 tbsp coriander leaves chop
- 1 tbsp nylon sev
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tsp sugar
- salt to taste
- 3 tbsp ghee
Method:
1.In a pan add oil when hot add mustard seeds let it crackle,now add urad dal, chana dal and curry leaves once the color is changed of the dals.
2.Add to it chop onion saute it to pinkish then add chop tomatoes and cook for a while add green chilies,turmeric pd,roasted semolina and the hot water stir nicely and cover with lid and let it steam for three minutes.
3.Now remove the lid add to it salt,sugar,lemon juice and coriander leaves and give a quick stir when all mix off the gas.
4.Serve hot with coriander leaves and nylon sev garnish on top and with a hot cup of tea.
Notes:
1.Dry roast the semolina nicely on slow flame till smell but see that you don't change the color of semolina or burn it.
2.Take hot water to add in semolina.
3.Follow this two tips and there will be yum upma recipe ready.
