Prawns Curry Recipe, How To Make East Indian Prawns Curry Recipe.
Prawns curry recipe or East Indian style prawns curry recipe, is delicious seafood for all the seafood lovers. Very quick, easy and simple recipe.
It is spicy and tangy flavoured curry. Basic ingredients easily available in kitchen, it is flavoured with East indian bottle masala, if this masala is not available then can substitute with curry powder or mix masala powder.
Prawns are cleaned, deveined, washed, cooked in spices, coconut paste and kokum is added for tangy flavor. Prawns curry can be served with rice bhakari or hot steam rice or chapati or pav (bread).

Step By Step Method
1. Add oil allow it to become hot.
2. Add curry leaves let it splutter.
3. Add chopped onion saute till translucent.
4. Add cubed potatoes stir and cook for five minutes.
5. Add cleaned, de-veined, washed prawns and saute till prawns changes colour.
6. Add chopped tomatoes and cook for few minutes.
7. Add ginger/garlic paste and saute again for few minutes.
8. Add the bottle masala and turmeric powder mix well.
9. Cook the masala for few minutes.
10. Add the coconut paste and stir it till all the paste is merged thoroughly.
11. Add water as required for gravy.
12. Add the soaked kokam and salt as per taste.
13. Give a nice boil for gravy.
14. Cover with lid and let it simmer for ten minutes.
15. Prawns curry is ready to serve.
16. Serve Prawns curry with hot steam rice.

Ingredients:
- 250 gm- Prawns (cleaned, de-veined, washed)
- 1 no- onion chopped
- 1 no- tomato chopped
- 1 no- potato cubed
- 2 tbsp- bottle masala or curry powder or mix masala
- 1/2 tsp- turmeric powder
- 1 tsp- ginger/garlic paste
- 7 nos- curry leaves
- 6 nos- kokum (option)
- 7 tbsp- coconut (make paste adding little water)
- 1 tbsp- oil
- salt to taste
- water as required for gravy
- Add oil in a pan, when hot add curry leaves and let it splutter.
- Now add chopped onion saute till translucent.
- Add potato saute, cook for five minutes, now add prawns and saute for few minutes till prawns changes the colour.
- Add chopped tomato saute till oil separates.
- Add ginger/garlic paste and saute.
- Now add bottle masala and turmeric powder and saute for two minutes.
- Add coconut paste stir, add water as required for gravy.
- Now add kokum (soaked in little water) and salt.
- Give a nice boil and then put lid simmer cook for ten minutes.
- Prawns curry is ready to serve.
- Serve it with hot steam rice.
