Prawns Pulao recipe, Easy Prawns Pulao recipe
Prawns Pulao recipe is simple, quick and easy to prepare. It is a dish you can prepare for guest who arrives suddenly, this dish is worth to prepare with all ingredients available in your kitchen. It can be served with salad, papad or pickles. I have modified this recipe with simple and minimum ingredients.
There are various ingredient added to the pulao like Maggie cubes, cashews, chopped veggies like the carrots, french beans, green peas, etc, also coconut milk is added to it. But as I have said that I have modified the recipe with simple ingredients , quick and easy method truly yum and worth trying.
Preparation Time:15 minutes
Cooking Time:20 minutes
Serves:3-4
Add slice onion and saute till pinkish.
Now add slice tomato and cook till oil comes out.
Add sliced potato and saute.
Now add prawns and stir for two minutes.
Add mix masala, garam masala, turmeric powder, and one tablespoon water and stir till all masala is mixed.
Make paste adding green chilies, coriander leaves, mint leaves, ginger, garlic, curd.
Add the green paste and stir nicely.
Now add the soaked rice and lemon juice give a gentle stir.
Add hot water bring a boil and make the flame slow and cook till rice is done and serve hot.
Serve it hot with salad.

Step By Step Method:
Put oil and let it become hot for two minutes.

Ingredients:
- 250 gm prawns (peeled, deveined, washed, apply salt and pinch turmeric powder)
- 1 cup long grain rice (basmati)
- 4 tbsp oil (can use ghee)
- 1 big onion slice
- 1 big tomato slice
- 1 big potato slice
- 1 tsp mix masala powder (can use briyani masala)
- 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp garam masala powder
- 2 cups water (hot water)
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 2 green chilies
- 6 cloves garlic
- 1"ginger
- 2 tbsp coriander leaves
- 1 tbsp mint leaves
- 2 tbsp curd
Method:
- Put oil in chatti, let it become hot, when hot add sliced onion and saute for five minutes.
- Add sliced tomato saute till oil comes out.
- Now add the prawns and potato, when nicely mixed add the paste, mix masala, turmeric powder, garam masala powder and add one tablespoon water and cook the masala.
- After two minutes add paste stir nicely and add rice, salt, lemon juice, and two cup hot water.
- Take a nice boil and then cover and cook on slow flame till rice is cooked (gradually keep stiring or it will burn).
Notes:
- Rice can be used of your choice like long grain (basmati), kokum, organic rice, etc.
- Can use ghee instead of oil.
- Soak the rice for half and hour and cook adding hot water for best result and also rice gets cooked fast.
- Prawns should be deveined properly or it may cause stomach problems.
