Rice Kheer Recipe, Easy Way To Make Rice Kheer

Rice kheer recipe is the most popular recipe made in North India  and also towards the south India. It is
preferred options for weddings, feast or for special occasions. It is quick and easy recipe. Rice is soaked and cooked in milk added with sugar, dry fruits, saffron and green cardamon powdered.

Ingredients:
  • 1 liter milk
  • 1/4 cup rice (3 tbsp soaked for one hour)
  • 8 tbsp sugar (as per taste)
  • 1/2 tsp green cardamon powder (elaichi powder)
  • a pinch of saffron (kesar)
  • 20 nos almonds (badam soaked in hot water for ten minutes and remove the skin)
  • 20 nos cashews (kaju)
  • 10 nos raisins
Method:
  1. Boil the milk, when nicely boiled add soaked rice and boil it till the rice is cooked keep stiring gradually.
  2. Add sugar cook till sugar melts.
  3. Now add all the sliced dry fruits.
  4. At the end add the cardamon powder and the saffron.
  5. Serve hot or chilled.

Notes:
  1. I have used basmati rice, it gives richness and fregnent to the kheer.
  2. Soak the saffron in one tablespoon hot milk and then add to the kheer.
  3. Milk boil it and make it cold in room temperature and than proceed to make kheer.
Tip of the day:
  1. Vinegar contains acetic acid-a component of aspirin. It can help ease sunburn pain, itching and inflammation.
  2. Instead of scratching that insect bite, apply a drop of peppermint oil. It increases circulation, speeding healing.
