Moong Dal Recipe, Easy Moong Dal Recipe

Moong dal recipe is very useful for all age group like the sick, the infants, the health concisious, the seniors,
during summer when we do not feel like eating this is the right menu. It is very simple and nutritive. I have
prepared this moong dal recipe without spices and tadka.

Preparation Time: 5 minutes
Cooking Time: 20 minutes
Serves: 4-5

Ingredients:
  • 1/2 cup moong dal (washed soaked for half hour)
  • 1 big onion chopped
  • 1 big tomato chopped
  • 3 green chilies chopped
  • 1/2 tsp mix masala (option)
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric pd
  • salt to taste
  • 1 tbsp oil 
Method:
  1. In a pan add oil let it become hot.
  2. When hot add chop onion and saute till pinkish.
  3. Now add green chilies and tomato, let it cook for two minutes.
  4. Add to it mix masala and turmeric powder.
  5. After one minute add soaked dal (drain the soaked dal water and then add) and add salt.
  6. Stir nicely add 1 cup water (or as per required to cook dal and consistency) and let it cook   
  7.  When dal is cooked serve hot with steam rice ( condiment with pickle and fried brinjal).

  1. I have given fried brinjal recipe read my blog and also I have given mix masala recipe in my blog.
  2. Soak the dal for twenty minutes, by soaking dal gets cooked fast.
Tip of the day:
  • Raw carrot or lettuce juice has calming properties and helps when you are stressed out, drink 2 to 3 cups a day if you are stressed.
