Bangda Fry, Easy Bangda Fry Recipe

Bangda is very tasty fish, I would like the medium size of the fish it would be eaten by children or any age group as it is easily to discard the bones.

Bangda is also known as Mackerel. The Indian Mackerel is generally found in shallow coastal water near coastal region. It is very tasty fish. We can prepare many variation from this fish.

 I have prepared bangda fry in simple and easy method.Mixture of many spices are blended to this fish, but I have blended very few ingredient to this recipe. I have rubbed the fish in the spices and coated with semolina and shallow fried.

It is a side dish or starter. Can be served with hot steam rice and curry or simple dal. Yum mm.......  

Preparation Time: 10 minutes
Cooking Time: 10 minutes
Serves: 3-4

Step By Step Method:


1. Clean and wash the fish, and drain the water thoroughly.

2. Add mix masala, turmeric powder and salt.

3. Marinate and keep for ten minutes.

4. Coat the fish in semolina.

5. Fry it on pan adding oil. heat the oil and when oil is hot add the fish.

6. After one side is cooked turn the fish upside down.

7. Ready to serve.

Ingredients:
  • Bangda fish 4 nos 
  • salt to taste
  • mix masala 2 tsp
  • turmeric powder 1/4 tsp 
  • oil 2 tbsp
  • Semolina 1/4 cup
Method:
  1. Clean the fish and wash it thoroughly.
  2. Drain the water completely.
  3. Now add mix masala, turmeric powder and salt.
  4. Rub the spices and keep for ten minutes.
  5. Take semolina in a plate and coat the fish both the side.
  6. Now take oil in a frying pan, let it heat.
  7. Shallow fry the fish on both sides till crisp.
  8. When both side is crisp ready to serve.
  9. Serve it as starter or side dish.
Notes:
  • Can apply 1 tbsp lemon juice along with spices.
  • Can use rice flour instead of semolina.
  • Make oil hot then put the fish on pan to make the fish crisp.
