Rajma/Kidney Bean masala Recipe/Punjabi Style/ Rajma masal
Rajma/Kidney Bean is a flavorful curry simmered in a gravy of onion and tomato served with jeera rice/plain rice or roti.
Ingredients:
- 1/4 kg rajma (soak ten hours or overnight)
 - 1 onion big
 - 4 tomatoes medium
 - 7 garlic cloves
 - 1" ginger
 - 2 green chillies
 - 1 tsp red chilli powder
 - 1 tsp coriander powder
 - 1/4 haldi
 - 1 tsp garam masala
 - 1 bay leaves
 - 1 black cardamon
 - 1 stick cinnamon
 - 1/4 tsp cumin
 - Salt to taste
 - 2 tbsp oil
 
Method:
- Pressure cook rajma with cinnamon, black cardamon, bay leaves, salt to taste and water cook till rajma is done.
 - In a pan add oil put jeera when splutter add paste (onion, tomato, ginger, garlic and green chillies).
 - Add dry masala powder (red chilli, powder,coriander powder, turmeric powder, garam masala powder).
 - Add boiled rajma, salt and water as per consistency and boil till done.
 
 Note:   
- Rajma soak at least for ten hour.
 - Pressure cook the rajma on fast gas
 - one whistle and than on slow flame for
 - twenty minutes or till done.
