Kanda Bhaji Recipe/Pyaz Ke Pakode/Crunchy Onion Pakoda Recipe.


Kanda Bhaji is a street food/evening tea time snack. It is very popular recipe and a famous street food of Maharashtra.

Ingredients:

  • 6 sliced onions 
  • 8 tbsp gram flour (besan)
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder 
  • 1/2 tsp coriander powder 
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder 
  • Salt to taste 
  • 1/4 tsp ajwain 
  • 1 tbsp coriander leaves chopped 
  • 2 cup oil for frying 

Method:

  1. Slice the onions thinly. 
  2. Add the sliced onion in a mixing bowl. 
  3. Add the above spices, salt and rest of the ingredients. 
  4. Deep fry the bhaji in hot oil. 
  5. Serve it with pav and chutney. 

Note:

  • Slice the onions evenly and add salt keep for five minutes, onion leaves the water, this stage add the gram flour crush nicely till all merge together.
  • Keep oil temperature perfect before frying and when bhaji is dropped to oil fry the bhaji on slow medium fame.
