Kanda Bhaji Recipe/Pyaz Ke Pakode/Crunchy Onion Pakoda Recipe.
Kanda Bhaji is a street food/evening tea time snack. It is very popular recipe and a famous street food of Maharashtra.
Ingredients:
- 6 sliced onions
- 8 tbsp gram flour (besan)
- 1 tsp red chilli powder
- 1/2 tsp coriander powder
- 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
- Salt to taste
- 1/4 tsp ajwain
- 1 tbsp coriander leaves chopped
- 2 cup oil for frying
Method:
- Slice the onions thinly.
- Add the sliced onion in a mixing bowl.
- Add the above spices, salt and rest of the ingredients.
- Deep fry the bhaji in hot oil.
- Serve it with pav and chutney.
Note:
- Slice the onions evenly and add salt keep for five minutes, onion leaves the water, this stage add the gram flour crush nicely till all merge together.
- Keep oil temperature perfect before frying and when bhaji is dropped to oil fry the bhaji on slow medium fame.
