East Indian Chicken Moilee Recipe/ Easy Chicken curry recipe/ Chicken Moilee Recipe.
Chicken Moilee is a traditional East Indian curry recipe made with chicken or duck. This is a very popular East Indian cuisine prepared festive in every East Indian families. Easy, quick and tasty recipe.
Ingredients:
- 1 kg Chicken
- 5 onion sliced
- 2 potatoes
- 2 green Chillies sliced
- 1"inch ginger sliced
- 8 cloves garlic sliced
- 2 tbsp oil for cooking
- 2 tbsp oil to fry chicken
- 2 tbsp oil to fry the potatoes
- 1 tbsp Vinegar
- 2 tbsp Bottle Masala
- 1 tsp Turmeric powder
- 1 big glass water
Method:
- Apply salt, turmeric powder to the chicken and only salt to potatoes. Fry the potatoes and chicken pieces in a shallow frying pan separately and keep aside.
- In a deep vessel, heat 2 tbsp oil and saute the onions, till onions are light brown in colour.
- Now add sliced ginger, garlic and chillies and stir fry it.
- Now add bottle masala and fry for a minute. Add a water to avoid burning of masala.
- Add vinegar and add water as per required for gravy.
- Once the gravy starts boiling, add in the fried chicken pieces and potatoes.
- Cook for 15 minutes till chicken is tender.
- Check for seasonings.
- Ready to serve.
Note: Marinate chicken with haldi and salt at least for an hour.
