Prawns Ambotik is Goan cuisine. It is hot(spicy) and tangy(sour) curry. Hot spices well blended with tamarind and Kokum which form sour component and give ambotik flavor to the curry. Ingredients: Kashmiri whole red chillies( deseed and soaked in water for 20 minutes). garlic 7 cloves ginger1" 12 black pepper 1/2 tsp cumin seed 1/4 tsp turmeric powder 1 small lemon size tamarind kokum 4 oil 2 tsp salt per taste 2 onions chopped 1 tomato chopped green chillies slit sugar a pinch Prawns 25 nos (cleaned, developed,washed thoroughly apply salt and turmeric) Method: Grind paste: red chillies, garlic,ginger, black pepper, turmeric, cumin, tamarind add little water and make fine paste.
