Uttapam Recipe, Easy Uttapam Recipe

Uttapam recipe is a recipe made from dosa batter ladle on pan like pancake shape and topped with veggies and masala. Uttapam is sometime characterized as Indian pizza. Uttapam can be made from instant mix packets or ready mix dosa available in grocery shop or super market and also from left over batter of dosa. It is a south Indian dish prepared during breakfast or snacks. It is also kids friendly recipe. Easy and quick recipe.

Step By Step Method:

Take dosa batter add salt and mix it.

Grease the non stick pan with oil.

Spread the batter like pan cake.

Sprinkle onion, tomato, green chilies, coriander leaves and also sprinkle red chilly powder.

Serve with green chutney or tomato ketchup.

Ingredients:
  • 2 cups dosa batter
  • 1 small onion chopped
  • 1 small tomato chopped
  • 2 green chilies chopped
  • 2 tsp coriander leaves chopped
  • 1 tsp red chilly powder or sambar powder
  • oil as required
  • salt to taste
Method:
  1. Take dosa batter.
  2. Now grease the non stick pan with oil, take one ladle full of batter and pour on the non stick pan like pancake.
  3. Now sprinkle onion, tomato, green chilies, coriander leaves and sprinkle red chilly powder.
  4. Add oil in side and on top and allow to cook for two minutes or leaves the sides.
  5. Serve with green chutney or tomato sauce.
Notes:
  1. To sprinkle we can use red chilly powder or sambar powder.
  2. When batter is spread on pan should not be like dosa but it should be like pan cake.
  3. We can use veggies to sprinkle on top like grated cabbage, capsicum fine chopped or grated carrot it will make the recipe healthy.
Tip of the day:
  • Include virgin coconut oil in your diet. It improves blood cholesterol.
