Capsicum Aloo Sabji Recipe, Easy Capsicum Aloo Sabji Recipe

Capsicum aloo sabji recipe is one of simple, quick and yummy recipe. We can prepare this and serve in school tiff-en box or office tiff-in. It can also be served with steamed rice and dal or chapaties.

Capsicum is also known as bell pepper. Beside green they are yellow and red in colour. Capsicum is found all over the world. We can prepare many dishes as it is versatile.

Capsicum is also very good for health. It is good for digestive problems, low in calories, constant antioxidant, improves heart health, benefit for patients with rheumatism, prevents diabetes, relieves pain....

Step By Step Method


1. In a kadai add oil, when hot add mustard seed and let it crackle.

2. Add the chopped onion, slit green chillies and cook till onion is translucent.

3. Add cubed potatoes sauté and let it cook for five minutes.

4. Add mix masala powder and turmeric powder and sauté.

5. Add the cubed capsicum sauté and allow to cook for three minutes.

6. Now add the chopped tomatoes.

7. Add the salt and fresh grated coconut.

8. Ready to serve.

9. Serve it with chapati or hot steam rice and dal.

Ingredients:
  • 4 green capsicum cubed
  • 2 potatoes cubed
  • 2 onion chopped
  • 2 tomatoes chopped
  • 2 slit green chillies
  • 1 tsp mix masala
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  • 3 tbsp oil
  • 3 tbsp fresh grated coconut
  • salt to taste
  • 1/2 tsp mustard seed
Method:
  1. In Kadai put oil let it become hot, when oil is hot add mustard seeds and let it crackle.
  2. Now add chopped onion and slit green chillies and sauté till translucent.
  3. Add potatoes sauté and cover and cook for five minutes.
  4. Now add mix masala and turmeric powder and stir well.
  5. Add the capsicum sauté cover and cook for again three minutes.
  6. Add tomatoes, salt and grated fresh coconut stir well cover and cook for three minutes.
  7. Ready to serve.
  8. Serve it with chapaties or  hot steam rice and dal.
